1) On April 9, the Planning Board held a special meeting to review the Town’s Mobility Plan—a transportation strategy designed to address Huntersville’s current and future transit needs. This includes improvements for walking, biking, driving, and public transit access. The plan helps prioritize projects like new sidewalks, greenways, multi-use paths, and roadway upgrades, all aimed at enhancing the quality of life for everyone moving through our community.
2) At our regularly scheduled meeting, we recommended approval of a rezoning request by Cottage Properties of Lake Norman for a proposed development of 17 single-family homes on approximately 8.7 acres off NC-73, just west of Blythe Landing. A unique feature of this community is the transformation of the stormwater control area into an amenity space with a walking path, gazebo, fire pits, and benches. In addition, a path will connect the neighborhood directly to Blythe Landing, giving residents easy access to its many recreational offerings.
