1) We recommended approval of a text amendment request by the Huntersville Planning Department to clarify the intent of conditional zoning districts and how modifications are considered.
What does that mean?
The Town is letting developers know that we expect more than a check-the-box project. It gives them the power to use the 2040 Community Plan to press and “negotiate” for better outcomes. The Town Board still maintains the final authority just as they did before.
