1) We recommended approval of a rezoning request by Ultimate Athlete on NC-73 towards Beatties Ford Road that would allow them to have some of their workout sessions take place outside.
2) We recommended approval of an almost 70-acre, mixed-use development at Hambright Road and I-77 named Town 1. (See rendering below.)
What’s impressive about this is that the project is truly mixed-use. There’s a great blend of Class-A office space, light industrial, and retail/neighborhood services along with residential options, including multi-family, townhomes, and condos. There are even 7 affordable housing units within the project that will be partially subsidized for 15 years by the Joey Logano Foundation. Haven’t seen a project with this much variety come before us in a long time.
