1) We recommended approval of a 10-acre solar farm on the far west side of Town. The City of Charlotte actually owns the lands and will sell the power to Energy United, which, in turn, will allow Charlotte Water to achieve certain carbon-neutral goals.
2) We recommended approval of a modification to the zoning ordinance regarding signage. This will give additional flexibility to small businesses and those choosing to have their companies be a part of our Town.
3) We recommended approval of a handful of modifications to both the zoning and subdivision ordinances. These changes clean up the language, improve the notification process and transparency with our citizens, and provide the Town Board with a bit more control over the timing of hearings.
