1) We recommended approval of a request by Foundry Commercial to rezone ~60 acres just east of Bryton Center and Everette Keith Rd. They plan to construct 2-3 buildings totaling 750,000 sq. ft. of light industrial and office space.
2) We recommended approval of a request by the Huntersville Planning Department in cooperation with the Engineering and Public Works departments to amend various articles of the zoning ordinance that pertain to street trees. This topic was studied for several months as costs for sidewalk repairs continue to rise. Ultimately, the goal is to put the correct trees in the correct places using the correct methods.
