1) We recommended approval of a request by Dearness Gardens to rezone ~10 acres. This allows them to include a parcel they acquired to the rear of the property, bring the entire site into compliance, and create the option for them to add an additional building in the future.
2) We also recommended approval of a request by H2H Holdings to rezone a .60-acre parcel located at 14516 S. Old Statesville Rd. directly across from Huntersville FD Station 1. They are looking to create their fourth Golden Cow Creamery location along with space for 1-2 other complementary businesses. This will help Downtown make progress on the “10|10|10” goal of having 10 places that serve food, 10 retail establishments (non-chain and not thrift stores), and 10 businesses open after 6pm.
3) Finally, we recommended approval of a text amendment change brought forth by the Town’s Planning Department. It sought to clarify what outdoor activities are allowed on property zoned Neighborhood Residential and within one-quarter of a mile of Town Center zoning.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Blue Oak Realty’s customer appreciation event in Vermillion last Saturday!
A little rain couldn’t stop us! We served up over 100 cups of coffee from Third Eye Coffee
